A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Marilyn was a visible
staple on the theatre scene in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas, performing with Don Brockett Productions;
the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera; Pittsburgh Opera;
Pittsburgh Playhouse; Odd Chair Playhouse; White Barn Theatre; Beck's Patio Theatre; Pennsylvania Opera Festival; Beverly Hills Theatre;
Ben Gross Summer Theatre; The Pittsburgh Savoyards;
The Merrie Operetta Co. (producer as well as performer).
Industrials took her to London, Madrid, Zurich, San Francisco, as well as the Pittsburgh tri-state area.
A move to Baltimore, Maryland afforded more opportunities for performing with the Vagabond Theatre, Cockpit-in-Court, Bolton Hills Dinner Theatre; and various revues.
Marilyn now treads the boards in New York, with the occasional tour to other parts of the country
where roles and other theatres beckon.
Work in New York has included tours as Carlotta in Maury Yeston's Phantom,
Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music (Debby Boone as Maria).
